He underwent back surgery to relieve his stenosis and was further diagnosed with osteoarthritis in both hips.That’s when his doctor’s referred him to orthopaedic surgeon Brian Klatt, MD, who recommended that Turley undergo a bilateral hip replacement.The simultaneous procedure meant Turley only had to endure one recovery period with minimum increased risk.Turley underwent surgery in October 2015 at UPMC Shadyside. Following his procedure, he enrolled in physical therapy at UPMC Rooney Sports Complex and worked alongside Manisha Trivedi, MD, who oversaw his pain management.“It’s so different to be able to do the things you really want to do again without pain. Two years ago, I couldn’t ride a bike. I couldn’t even do yard work. Now, I’m looking forward to it.”Read more about Mark’s recovery."},{"@context":"https://schema.org/","@type":"BreadcrumbList
@type":"ListItem
{"@type":"ListItem
{"@type":"ListItem
